RoxRecap

Terms of Service

Last updated September 30, 2026

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and RoxRecap. They apply when you access or use the service. By using RoxRecap, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who may use RoxRecap

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use account features. You agree to provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and take responsibility for activity conducted through your account.

What the service does

RoxRecap helps you look up race information and create, edit, and export recap videos from your own media. Race information may come from HyResult or other third-party sources. RoxRecap is not a timing authority, and race data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Check important results with the event organizer or the original result source.

Your media and other content

You keep any rights you already have in photos, videos, and other content you provide. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that content, including permission from people shown in it where required.

You give RoxRecap a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, and process your content only as needed to provide the editing, saving, and export features you request, maintain the service, and protect it from misuse. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies kept in backups or for security, operational, or recordkeeping needs.

Saved media and recaps are stored privately for your account. You choose whether to download or otherwise share an exported video. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes another person’s rights, or violates these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use RoxRecap to:

  • break the law or violate another person’s rights;
  • upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or bypass service security;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, or access the service or its data without authorization; or
  • misrepresent race results or use the service to harass or harm another person.

Accounts, saved work, and deletion

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure. You can delete saved drafts and finished recaps in the app. You can permanently delete your account from the account menu. Account deletion removes your saved work, associated media, exports, and account-linked usage records. To get help with other account information, email trevor@embedx.co. Deleting a draft, recap, or account cannot be undone.

RoxRecap may suspend or end access if you materially violate these terms, create a security risk, or misuse the service. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to address the issue.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how RoxRecap handles information. It is part of these terms.

Payments and export purchases

RoxRecap offers one-time export purchases. The current standard price is $2.50 for each eligible new draft version. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Stripe-hosted Checkout displays the amount due before you confirm a purchase.

Enter an active coupon code configured for RoxRecap exports to apply its discount in Stripe Checkout. Checkout shows the final total; if the code is invalid or does not apply, the standard export price is charged. A completed purchase covers the draft version associated with that checkout. Editing and saving a new version may require a separate purchase; exporting an unchanged version that you already purchased is free.

Stripe processes payments through its hosted Checkout. By completing checkout, you authorize payment of the amount displayed there. For billing questions or refund requests, contact trevor@embedx.co. Nothing in these terms limits refund or cancellation rights that apply under law.

RoxRecap’s intellectual property

RoxRecap and its software, branding, and original design are owned by RoxRecap or its licensors. These terms let you use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the service to you.

Availability and changes

We work to keep RoxRecap available, but the service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of the page and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or by email before material changes take effect.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable rules, RoxRecap is provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Video exports and third-party race information should be reviewed before you rely on or share them.

Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable rules, RoxRecap will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. RoxRecap’s total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid RoxRecap for paid features in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits apply only to the extent they are allowed.
